About Almighty Nature Artwork...

A family picture: My husband holding one of our daughters, our oldest son in front of him, me holding our newborn daughter, and our younger son hugging my leg

At the end of my undergraduate University years, I began to second-guess my 10+ year goal of obtaining my Pd.D. and becoming a full-time research wildlife biologist - not because I didn't like the subject matter anymore, but because I found a new  calling in being present for my family with my new husband.

During this time, my faith was also growing, and a desire to incorporate it into every part of my life. Years past, and I still had the question of how I could fuse my wildlife and conservation biology knowledge with my Catholic faith. Then I felt a nudge to do something I hadn't done in...years. I felt the urge to draw. And not only to draw, but to SHARE my art with others.

Woah there, God. My art had always been personal, an escape. Yet over time, I have heard the message over and over again. "Give Me your art."

I hope that you are able to find the beauty of God in His creations all around us. One of my favorite passages in the Bible is Psalm 8: "When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have established; what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?"

God reveals His own beauty in what He created (including you and me). We can see this beauty and be reminded of our Lord, our Savior, and His absolute love and care for us.

I hope, in my art, you are not only reminded of His beauty (and yours) but that He also created you to be creative with Him.
